The french company Nielsen Concept innovates with its containers transformed into bicycle garage. The product is called “Original Bike Hut” and it was designed by Nicolas and Jane Nielsen in 2015, their idea: “To recycle containers.”
It is an unprecedented service: a secure shelter to drop off your bicycles, a small garage where you can also take a shower, store your belongings in a locker, inflate the tires, charge the batteries…
The prototype was a success at the Velocity forum. The City of Rezé ordered a second one for cyclists.
The Department has awarded an innovative ecotourism award to this project. “Installed in Trentemoult, the third most visited site of the Nantes metropolis, for us, it is the top.”
I can’t wait to try one of these soon, such a good idea.
